Full Fire Rooster Moon
Much like last month's Monkey, we've got another moon of Fire - except this one is Yin. Instead of some raging flame, think of it more like a sizzling stack of coals with searing embers crackling against the romantic contrast of a moonlit horizon. When you mix that up that with the agitated gait of a Yang Fire Horse Year, it looks just like a phoenix rising from it's ashes.
As for the poetry of the moment, just watch. Let yourself be awestruck by life and the resilience of spirit. If you catch the evening news, you might be convinced that the sky is falling and there's nothing we can do about it - but if you follow our cosmology, then you'd know this whole charade is nothing more than a lovely sunset - followed by night - before another sunrise again in the morning. This isn't the grand finale... it's just another beginning.
To make this make sense, try to Google how many times the world should have ended by now. This isn't a doomsday countdown, it's a scary bed time story told by the adults to keep the kids on their best behaviour. Remember, the banks are still loaning money and people are still buying up beach front property. The sky's not falling - just like it didn't fall all the other times it was predicted to crumble. Let's not get our feathers ruffled up for nothing.
