Yin Earth Pig Moon

It's officially Winter! How does it feel? The sizzling coals of the Fire Horse are beginning to burn out. We're in Yin. If we pit the length of a year against the length of a day, this would be bed time. So if you're not hibernating yet, you should at least be sleeping in and catching some extra Zzz's.

As for the poetry of the moment, rest. Go ahead, handle your business. It wouldn't be advised to escape your daily duties for sake of this cosmology - but still, work with the end in mind. Try to finish early and hurry home for dinner. There will always be more work, but as of right now, nothing is more important than your down time. Let yourself rest.
To make this make sense, close up shop. You should already be finished by now, so if you're still on the grind, make sure what you're up to is worth your time and energy. Seriously, before you embark on anything new, run it through these three functional filters: 1. Does this need to be done? 2. Does this need to be done - right now? 3. Does this need to be done right now - by me? If the task at hand doesn't make these three cuts, drop it.

✧ The First Moon of Winter ✧

Ease Up: Who's pushing you?
Slow Down: What's the big hurry?
Just Stop: You're not missing anything.
Go Home:
Your bedroom beckons
Sleep In: Catch up on rest

Put it Off til Spring

Dog Moon Wanes    After a long hard day of work, friends, and play, you finally get to rest. Let yourself unwind and settle in for the night. As the days grow shorter and the nights grow colder, it's only natural to cozy up and settle down. While all the trouble making trolls scramble through the streets tricking for treats, a good dog stays at home - restfully nestled at its master's feet. ...

Full Earth Dog Moon    The Yang Earth Dog loves his pack. He can appreciate the natural order of a hierarchy, and he understands that being with a team is the easiest way to get ahead. As they say, "No man is an island," we all need each other to get by - so here in the final phase of Fall - invest in your friends and family.     As for the poetry of the moment, choose your partners. Click, ...

Dog Moon Rises    Dogs are loyal, loving, and kind. They are responsible, dependable, sweet, caring, and compassionate. The only downside to a dog is that they can be a little naive at times - borderline gullible. Dogs are loyal to a fault. They will follow their master to the ends of the earth - even if their master is an idiot.    As for the poetry of the moment, be helpful, but help yours...
