The Daoist Outlook・105
Full Fire Monkey Moon
Among the Five Primary Phases, Fire is the most aggressive. It relates to that time in our lives when we feel like we're invincible and think we know it all. Collapse that phase on top of a primate archetype and you end up with one violently volatile fur ball - super cute, and yet, super dangerous.

As for the poetry of the moment, get out of the kitchen. We've got a Yang Fire Monkey Moon on the back of a Yang Fire Horse Year. Yikes. It can't get more manic than this. If it feels like the world is falling apart and everyone is losing their marbles - you wouldn't be wrong. It might be a good idea to just stay out of everyone's way and let things resolve on their own accord.
To make this make sense, let it all go. What goes up will naturally have to come back down - so why chase? Just wait it out and let things boomerang back. The more you fight over control, the less control you end up with. Our best bet is to step back, chill out, and let the drama train pass. The only way to conquer the mighty Monkey King is to avoid him all together.
✧ Taming the Monkey King ✧
Don't Chase: He's faster than you
Don't Grab: He's also stronger than you
Don't Cling: Or else you'll get dragged along
Don't Crave: He'll leverage your desires
Ignore Him: Starve him of attention
