The Daoist Outlook・085

Rabbit Moon Wanes

And just like that, the second moon drifts away. If you have ever heard the expression "Time Flys," well, now you get to live it. Here we are, only having just begun the year, and we're already at the end of Spring! This raging Fire Horse has really ramped up from a trot to a gallop, and there are no signs of slowing. So hang tight - we've still got a lot of Yang in stock!

As for the poetry of the moment - here we go! We're steadily stepping into the most volatile time of a year. Arguably, all of the year's action takes place right in this Spring/Summer-Dragon/Snake cusp. The rest of the year is all about cleaning up the mess these two archetypes make. Sure, we're still a good moon away from the action, but in a Yang Fire Horse run, many of us can already feel the heat. Careful, it'll likely get far worse before it gets any better.
To make this make sense, accept life for what it is - chaos. If we can lower our expectations and find peace amidst the storm, we'll fare far better than we would if we hold on to our expectations and desired outcomes. This is a time to practice adaption. As the Christians say, "Let Go, and Let God."

✧ Peace Begins with Me ✧

Physically: Create a serene environment.
Mentally:
Clear out the clutter from your mind.
Emotionally: Get complete on the things that ache.
Intuitively: Listen for the whispers of your heart.
Spiritually: Practice radical gratitude.

Waxing Water Snake    There was once a Snake caught in a fire. A brave man saved the Snake by pulling it from the blaze, but in the process, the Snake bit the man and killed him with poison. Perhaps we could fault the Snake, but it's only natural for it to bite. Perhaps we could fault the brave man, but he only wanted to help.     As for the poetry of the moment, be careful! If you want to s...

Yin Water Snake Moon    Wow, Snake moon - the first moon of Summer! We often talk about how a Snake is really just the tail of a Dragon, but Snakes also have a personality of their own. On good days, they're wise, intuitive, attentive, intelligent, and caring. On bad days, however, they could be down right mean, manic, and manipulative - their misconduct is literally biblical. Care for an app...

Dragon Moon Wanes    Careful now, don't let the Dragon fool you. Remember at the beginning of the moon when we told you that the Dragon was really, really big? Well, this is where it shows up - you thought the Dragon was done, but NOPE! We still have another moon to go! You thought that was a Snake moon coming next? Better look again... that's not a snake - that's the Dragon's tail!    As fo...
