The Yin Earth Ox Moon

Welcome to the 12th Moon, the Ox Moon, the last moon of the Lunar Year.
While so many drag their knuckles, dreading the day, we're wise to sleep in and avoid the big bustle all together. In Ox, stillness doesn't mean stagnant, and slow doesn't mean stupid. If you're home and in bed, you may not get it because you're in it - but if you're rushing through your days, living off of caffeine and nicotine, you'd probably give anything to do nothing right now.

As for the poetry of the moment, chew cud. You know, like a cow. Put your projects through a few filters: Is this necessary? Is this necessary now? Is this necessary now by me? And if yes, then why? If you need to slow down to think these things through - GOOD! That's the point. What's your big rush anyway? These days, you're better off slow than sloppy.
To make this make sense, just keep your head down and your mouth shut. Mind your business and bite your tongue. "The smart already know and the dumb won't listen," so just shut up and smile. This short-lived lunar phase is simple - go slow, do less, and don't make a big fuss about it.

✧ The Last Moon of Winter ✧

Think Less: Or just think without using words.
Say Less:
Start the day silent. Maybe end that way too.
Move Less: Stop running around. Let the world come to you.
Do Less:
Put it off till next moon. Maybe don't do it at all.
Just Rest: You may not get another chance.

Speech is Silver / Silence is Gold

Waxing Water Snake    There was once a Snake caught in a fire. A brave man saved the Snake by pulling it from the blaze, but in the process, the Snake bit the man and killed him with poison. Perhaps we could fault the Snake, but it's only natural for it to bite. Perhaps we could fault the brave man, but he only wanted to help.     As for the poetry of the moment, be careful! If you want to s...

Yin Water Snake Moon    Wow, Snake moon - the first moon of Summer! We often talk about how a Snake is really just the tail of a Dragon, but Snakes also have a personality of their own. On good days, they're wise, intuitive, attentive, intelligent, and caring. On bad days, however, they could be down right mean, manic, and manipulative - their misconduct is literally biblical. Care for an app...

Dragon Moon Wanes    Careful now, don't let the Dragon fool you. Remember at the beginning of the moon when we told you that the Dragon was really, really big? Well, this is where it shows up - you thought the Dragon was done, but NOPE! We still have another moon to go! You thought that was a Snake moon coming next? Better look again... that's not a snake - that's the Dragon's tail!    As fo...
