Waxing Metal Tiger

In many ways, this could be considered auspicious. Sure, we have a wild Fire Horse picking up pace, but we've also got a Metal Tiger for checks and balances. First off, Horses and Tigers make good business buddies, and the Metal and Fire forces are complimentary too. Think of a cast iron stove - not only is it functional, but it's classy too, and full of character. From this view, we're in pretty good shape - astrologically at least.

As for the poetry of the moment, keep your blade sharp and steady. We're not running just yet, but you could be called to action at a moment's notice. Remember, Tigers don't have to stretch before they attack - they go straight for the kill. In the same way, you won't need to get ready if you stay ready. This is called vigillence. Idle, but alert - calm, yet keen.
To make this make sense, be prepared for your day. Pack a lunch, plan for traffic, and arrive early. Know yourself, know your opposition, and know the terrain. Know that victory is as good as certain if you come well prepared.

Take Aim: Hold a realistic goal in your sights.
Measure Twice: Make sure you're primed and ready.
Line Everything Up: Prepare yourself for success.
Hold your Fire: Don't unload just yet.

The Horse Moon Wanes    Have you ever noticed that some horses wear blinders? They're these tiny little flaps of black leather that block off the sides of a horses eyes to shield their periferal vision. They're common amongst service horses and calvary. It keeps them focused and it prevents them from getting overly stimulated.    As for the poetry of the moment, take some time to reflect on ...

Full Wood Horse Moon    BOOM! If only we could start this edition off with a sound effect, or better yet, a theme song. This is the peak of Mount Everest - the highest point of the year. We've made it. You can pat yourself on the back. Great job! Now we get to watch the mushroom cloud and steer clear of the fall out.     As for the poetry of the moment, go ahead, take a breather. With the wo...

Waxing Wood Horse Moon   It's Summer Solstice season, the absolute peak of our annual solar cycle - you doing okay? Whether you're Kid Icarus or Tony Montana from Scarface, the story remains the same, "Careful not to fly too high." You'd be better off floating and coasting at a steady cruising altitude for the rest of this phase.    As for the poetry of the moment, don't over extend yourself...
