The Yang Earth Rat Moon

Last moon, we closed out the Pig by thinking BIG! Now that we've moved on to the Earth Rat, it's time to get grounded and take little nibbles out from that great big pie in the sky. There's no way to swallow your vision whole, it would be far more appropriate to break it down into bite sized bits.

As for the poetry of the moment, plot your path. If your dream is to be one of those crazy race car drivers, then maybe look into auto-motives first. Get your head under a hood, change some oil, and kick a tire or two. From there you could explore box cars, go-karts, and grand prix race ways - but in the mean time, maybe just use your blinkers and yield to on-coming traffic. You can't expect to fly if you don't even know how to walk, run, or jump. Right?
To make this make sense, get realistic. If you have a big vision, take some time to chart your course, step by step. Anything's possible with plan - just not right now - so go to bed and dream about it. Save all that action for the fiesty Fire Horse Year ahead.

✧ Silent Winter Solstice ✧

Sleep In: There is absolutely no reason to rush about.
Stare out a Window:
Grab some hot chocolate and just sit there.
Lazy Day Dreams:
Imagine all the action from the comfort of your couch.
Be a Sloth: Drag your feet. Get to it later. Find more ways to do less.
Make a Wish: This is the phase where magic happens.

The Horse Moon Wanes    Have you ever noticed that some horses wear blinders? They're these tiny little flaps of black leather that block off the sides of a horses eyes to shield their periferal vision. They're common amongst service horses and calvary. It keeps them focused and it prevents them from getting overly stimulated.    As for the poetry of the moment, take some time to reflect on ...

Full Wood Horse Moon    BOOM! If only we could start this edition off with a sound effect, or better yet, a theme song. This is the peak of Mount Everest - the highest point of the year. We've made it. You can pat yourself on the back. Great job! Now we get to watch the mushroom cloud and steer clear of the fall out.     As for the poetry of the moment, go ahead, take a breather. With the wo...

Waxing Wood Horse Moon   It's Summer Solstice season, the absolute peak of our annual solar cycle - you doing okay? Whether you're Kid Icarus or Tony Montana from Scarface, the story remains the same, "Careful not to fly too high." You'd be better off floating and coasting at a steady cruising altitude for the rest of this phase.    As for the poetry of the moment, don't over extend yourself...
