The Horse Moon Wanes

Here it is, this is the summit we've been waiting for. This is likened to that brief moment of zero-G before gravity takes over and pulls you back down to the ground. You've worked hard all through launch, and now that you're finally up in the air, why not let yourself enjoy the view for a second?

As for the poetry of the moment, this is your chance to consider your time and tempo. The year's Yang is officially finished, any drive to push beyond this point is the natural result of cultural conditioning. Let yourself rest now. While the rest of the West is starting to ramp up their Summer madness, us lunar lovers are already looking for the return flight home. Don't get caught up in the melee of modern living. Hot Summers make for long, cold Winters. It's only natural. The higher the peak the deeper the pit.

✧ How to Celebrate the Solstice ✧

Throw a Party: Enjoy yourself. You've earned it!
Get Festive: Spend time with friends and family!
Share the Fun: Invite your neighbors to the party!
Get to Bed: Work hard, play hard, sleep deep.

The Horse Moon Wanes    Have you ever noticed that some horses wear blinders? They're these tiny little flaps of black leather that block off the sides of a horses eyes to shield their periferal vision. They're common amongst service horses and calvary. It keeps them focused and it prevents them from getting overly stimulated.    As for the poetry of the moment, take some time to reflect on ...

Full Wood Horse Moon    BOOM! If only we could start this edition off with a sound effect, or better yet, a theme song. This is the peak of Mount Everest - the highest point of the year. We've made it. You can pat yourself on the back. Great job! Now we get to watch the mushroom cloud and steer clear of the fall out.     As for the poetry of the moment, go ahead, take a breather. With the wo...

Waxing Wood Horse Moon   It's Summer Solstice season, the absolute peak of our annual solar cycle - you doing okay? Whether you're Kid Icarus or Tony Montana from Scarface, the story remains the same, "Careful not to fly too high." You'd be better off floating and coasting at a steady cruising altitude for the rest of this phase.    As for the poetry of the moment, don't over extend yourself...
