The Daoist Outlook・041

Waxing Water Horse Moon

This is the big peak. As we rapidly approach the summit of the Snake, this is where we get to pump the gas one last time to get us over the final hump. Be sure to savor that little instant of air time before G-force sets in and pulls you back down to the dark pit of Winter.

As for the poetry of the moment, this is the time to knock out your needs and necessities. Emotions are a luxury in a cold world of bottom lines, don't get stuck in the cement of sentiment. You can feel feelings and lick wounds in the Fall, but for now, "Buck up, and get er' done!" Stay laser focused and hold firm discernment. You only get one turbo boost per year, and this is it!

"Put a Jacket on!" It's their way of saying they care.
"Wash your Hands!" They don't want you to get sick.
"Don't Wear That!" Maybe they know something you don't.
"What's with that Face?"
Vibe check. Are you alright?
"Did you Eat?" The closest you'll get to "I Love You."

Sorry not Sorry

It keeps them focused and it prevents them from getting overly stimulated.    As for the poetry of the moment, take some time to reflect on ...

Full Wood Horse Moon    BOOM! If only we could start this edition off with a sound effect, or better yet, a theme song. This is the peak of Mount Everest - the highest point of the year. We've made it. You can pat yourself on the back. Great job! Now we get to watch the mushroom cloud and steer clear of the fall out.     As for the poetry of the moment, go ahead, take a breather. With the wo...

Waxing Wood Horse Moon   It's Summer Solstice season, the absolute peak of our annual solar cycle - you doing okay? Whether you're Kid Icarus or Tony Montana from Scarface, the story remains the same, "Careful not to fly too high." You'd be better off floating and coasting at a steady cruising altitude for the rest of this phase.    As for the poetry of the moment, don't over extend yourself...
