The Snake's Squeeze

Snakes are creative killers. We all know that they bite, some even use their venom! The scary ones, however, squeeze and suffocate. Try to keep this in mind as the season begins to heat up and tensions get tight. You don't want to get choked out by the stress of a Double Snake Summer.

Think of it like an orange. If you squeeze an orange, you get orange juice. The same will be true for any type of fruit - the juice from inside comes out when you squeeze it. Lemon juice isn't going to come out of a grape, right?  Now apply this logic to yourself. How are you under pressure? What comes out of you when you're squeezed by the struggles of life? It's not your job, your boss, or your coworkers that made you grumpy - you're just grumpy!
If this is you, then you have homework to do. The goal is to fill yourself to the brim with gratitude and grace, so much so that it spills over and rubs off on everyone around you. When our appreciation tanks are full, we have way more capacity for life's little hiccups. Often times it's just a simple matter of perspective. Hardships don't happen to us - they happen for us. For the rest of this Snake phase, let's leave the complaining to the charcoal. Don't forget you're a diamond - you can handle the heat.

The Horse Moon Wanes    Have you ever noticed that some horses wear blinders? They're these tiny little flaps of black leather that block off the sides of a horses eyes to shield their periferal vision. They're common amongst service horses and calvary. It keeps them focused and it prevents them from getting overly stimulated.    As for the poetry of the moment, take some time to reflect on ...

Full Wood Horse Moon    BOOM! If only we could start this edition off with a sound effect, or better yet, a theme song. This is the peak of Mount Everest - the highest point of the year. We've made it. You can pat yourself on the back. Great job! Now we get to watch the mushroom cloud and steer clear of the fall out.     As for the poetry of the moment, go ahead, take a breather. With the wo...

Waxing Wood Horse Moon   It's Summer Solstice season, the absolute peak of our annual solar cycle - you doing okay? Whether you're Kid Icarus or Tony Montana from Scarface, the story remains the same, "Careful not to fly too high." You'd be better off floating and coasting at a steady cruising altitude for the rest of this phase.    As for the poetry of the moment, don't over extend yourself...
