New Snake Moon

We've got ourselves a very special double Snake flavor to explore. With a Yin Wood Snake year coupled with a Yin Metal Snake moon, it's as if we've got our own little ouroboros. The mirror nature of this moon combined with the constant conflict of metal and wood creates just enough friction to start a fire. So grab a water bottle, this is going to be a long, hot summer.

The poetry here is one of self reflection and personal accountability. This moon, take a moment to tame your victim complex. There's no power in the blame game. Stop finding fault in factors beyond your control. Instead, allow yourself to take radical responsibility for all your funks. If some one or some thing has the power to crush you, then you'll need some one or some thing to save you too. But, if you're able to own up to your shortcomings and hold yourself accountable, then maybe you can muster the power to resolve your fate and unlock your destiny. Might as well try, the stars are ripe for it.
If all that feels too heavy to tackle, at the very least tend to your personal needs - namely your health. We've got ourselves an extra moon of summer lined up this year so we all need to make sure we are thoroughly nourished and properly hydrated for the ride. With good nutrition, good exercise, good rest, and a good attitude, we'll be all set for a great Summer!

✧ Welcome the Summer Sun ✧

The Horse Moon Wanes    Have you ever noticed that some horses wear blinders? They're these tiny little flaps of black leather that block off the sides of a horses eyes to shield their periferal vision. They're common amongst service horses and calvary. It keeps them focused and it prevents them from getting overly stimulated.    As for the poetry of the moment, take some time to reflect on ...

Full Wood Horse Moon    BOOM! If only we could start this edition off with a sound effect, or better yet, a theme song. This is the peak of Mount Everest - the highest point of the year. We've made it. You can pat yourself on the back. Great job! Now we get to watch the mushroom cloud and steer clear of the fall out.     As for the poetry of the moment, go ahead, take a breather. With the wo...

Waxing Wood Horse Moon   It's Summer Solstice season, the absolute peak of our annual solar cycle - you doing okay? Whether you're Kid Icarus or Tony Montana from Scarface, the story remains the same, "Careful not to fly too high." You'd be better off floating and coasting at a steady cruising altitude for the rest of this phase.    As for the poetry of the moment, don't over extend yourself...
