The Yang Metal Dragon

We've made it to the final moon of Spring, the Yang Metal Dragon. After this phase, Yang takes full flight up into the heights of Summer. That's when the rubber hits the road and things really start to ramp up - but for now, we wait. It's like the calm before a big storm. Can you feel the potential?

With regards to the poetry of the moment, this Metal Dragon captures this feeling perfectly. First, the dragon speaks to all the power present, while the metal element brings a reserved and reflective quality to the mix. It feels like a sharp blade held within a thin sheath. We're safe, for the moment, but the threat of clear and present danger looms just over the horizon.
When anxiety and anticipation arise and uncertainty couples with doubt, it can be easy to fall into a pit of panic. If you find yourself in such a funk, just remember that the other side of fear is faith. Tap into that dragon moon and muster up some courage. Hone into the essence of Metal and reflect before you get sharp. This threat will surely pass, until the next one comes around. Just remember - this is what we train for. Now go practice.

Find your gift, give it away.

The Horse Moon Wanes    Have you ever noticed that some horses wear blinders? They're these tiny little flaps of black leather that block off the sides of a horses eyes to shield their periferal vision. They're common amongst service horses and calvary. It keeps them focused and it prevents them from getting overly stimulated.    As for the poetry of the moment, take some time to reflect on ...

Full Wood Horse Moon    BOOM! If only we could start this edition off with a sound effect, or better yet, a theme song. This is the peak of Mount Everest - the highest point of the year. We've made it. You can pat yourself on the back. Great job! Now we get to watch the mushroom cloud and steer clear of the fall out.     As for the poetry of the moment, go ahead, take a breather. With the wo...

Waxing Wood Horse Moon   It's Summer Solstice season, the absolute peak of our annual solar cycle - you doing okay? Whether you're Kid Icarus or Tony Montana from Scarface, the story remains the same, "Careful not to fly too high." You'd be better off floating and coasting at a steady cruising altitude for the rest of this phase.    As for the poetry of the moment, don't over extend yourself...
