New Yang Fire Rat Moon

And like that, we're nearly halfway through the winter. These dragon years really fly by fast. Can you believe it? The next two moons of rat and ox just so happen to align with fire, meaning we're all geared up for a wild ride that will likely be over just as soon as it begins. If you consider that this winter is already about halfway behind us, perhaps it's not so hard to imagine.

In general, a rat feels right at home amidst the damp, dark, cold of winter. They tend to gather in packs, share their snacks, and make moves as a unit. If you ever see one, that means at least a dozen or so more are crawling in the shadows. They need cuddle buddies to survive - especially this season.
In short, the wisdom here is simple - align with your tribe, just be sure to mind that fire element. Fire feels like a frisky teen, whereas the winter wants you to stay inside and turn the music down. If you can chill out, you'll fair fine, but if you want to rage against the machine, you'll likely burn out, hurt yourself, and get left in a rut only to resent the world for your own stupidity.

✧ Tame that Temperment ✧

Get More Sleep: Early to bed, late to rise. Rest is medicine.
Pace your Provisions: Budget your binges. Make sure to share.
Greet your Neighbors: Maybe even bake them some cookies.
Be Content: It's ok to slow down. Let yourself enjoy it.

The Monkey Moon Rises    The Monkey King was formidable even before he became an immortal. He was the "Great Sage Equal of Heaven and Earth." First, he beat up Poseiden and took his shoes, he stole the Pivot Pole that pinned the Milky Way galaxy to the Earth's axis to use as a fighting stick, before he kicked in the gates of Hell, mopped the floor with the Devil himself, and then erased his n...

Yang Fire Monkey Moon    Monkeys are full of trouble, not so much out of mischief, but more so out of boredom - especially those frisky, Fire types. These fiesty primates only like to learn the rules enough to break them. They're the best at instigating a good time. The only thing is, we should all be winding down - not riling up.    As for the poetry of the moment, contain yourself. It's of...

The Goat Moon Wanes    Here we are, the last leg of Summer - any last words? Consider this phase "Project Hail Mary," Yang's last ditch effort. This is the time to get inside! It's no longer about being wise, now it's about being human. Whodini was right, "The Freaks Come Out at Night," so curb those cravings or find yourself in the company of all the other hungry ghosts that roam around afte...
