011. Yang Earth Dog Moon

Oct 05, 2026

Earth Dog Moon arrives at the end of autumn with a simple question: Who - or what - are you following? The Dog is loyal by nature, but loyalty is only a virtue when it is placed wisely. Stop running with the pack just because everyone else is running. Go home. Sit down. Rest at the foot of your master and remember what you're actually devoted to. And if you don't have a master, at least take inventory of your loyalties. Family, teachers, friends, organizations, beliefs, habits - where is your energy going, and has it earned your devotion?

∙ Sum of the Month ∙

⭐︎ Your Key Word: Discernment. Why chase a tail that's already yours?
+ Tigers & Horses:
Don't let this boost get to your head. Stay humble.
- Dragons: You might be better off playing it small. Time to be a lizard.
± Rats & Monkeys: It's nearly Winter. You'd better play safe and stay in.
 September 11th - October 9th

But Madame Xu gives one warning: even loyalty needs discernment. God forbid your master is on a kamikaze mission and you're foolish enough to follow him off the cliff. Respect does not require blindness. Friendship does not require participation in somebody else's bad decisions. Earth brings stability to the Dog, making this a good month to come back to your foundations: home, responsibility, trusted relationships, and the principles that have proven themselves over time. You don't need another pack. You need to know where you belong.
Dragons should stay alert; Dog Moon can put pressure directly on them, so this is no time for unnecessary risks or bravado. Monkeys and Rats would also be wise to hold back, protect their necks, and avoid sticking them into situations that don't concern them. Horses and Tigers, meanwhile, receive a much-needed boost. Enjoy it, use it, and be grateful for it - but don't let a little good fortune convince you that you're suddenly invincible. A good Dog knows when to follow, when to stay, and when not to chase the car at all.

009. Yang Fire Monkey Moon
The seasons are turning. Autumn is here, but don't think the heat is gone yet. We are moving from Goat to Monkey, from collective momentum to a creative stop. The problem is that many people are still carrying the habits of Summer. They've been running hard all year, pushing, chasing, building, expanding. Monkey Moon arrives with an important lesson: pump on those brakes. If you want to hav...
008. Yin Wood Goat Moon
Summer is beginning to soften. The wild galloping energy of Horse Moon starts to give way to something slower, gentler, and more reflective. Don't mistake that for weakness. Yin Wood Goat energy is subtle, but powerful. While Horse charges forward, Goat pauses to consider whether the path is worth taking at all. After months of fire, movement, and momentum, this moon asks a simple question:...
