008. Yin Wood Goat Moon
Summer is beginning to soften. The wild galloping energy of Horse Moon starts to give way to something slower, gentler, and more reflective. Don't mistake that for weakness. Yin Wood Goat energy is subtle, but powerful. While Horse charges forward, Goat pauses to consider whether the path is worth taking at all. After months of fire, movement, and momentum, this moon asks a simple question: what have you actually built? Not what you've started. Not what you've planned - but what have you nurtured?
∙ Sum of the Month ∙
⭐︎ Your Key Word: Resolution. This is the time to focus on the finish line.
+ Rabbits & Pigs: Will get a little extra support this moon. Don't squander it.
- Oxen: You bulls better slow down. Times are tight. Don't have a cow, man.
± Snakes & Roosters: Good luck, bad luck, who knows. Stay on your toes.
July 14th - August 12th
This is a month of cultivation rather than conquest. Relationships, health, savings, habits, and community all become more important than ambition or speed. Some people will feel uncomfortable with this sudden shift. After all the excitement of Summer, slowing down can feel like losing momentum - it isn't. Grain doesn't grow because you pull on the crops - it will only grow if you tend to it with care. To that point, this phase is about utilizing patience, moderation, and thoughtful care.
Rabbits and Pigs should feel some welcome support. The pace becomes more manageable, and opportunities arise through comfort, cooperation, and stability rather than competition. Oxen should be careful. Goat energy can feel frustratingly indirect, making it difficult to gain traction through your usual persistence. Snakes and Roosters would also be wise to watch their backs - not because of a looming disaster, but rather because impatience and overcorrection can create problems where none existed. Sometimes the best action is allowing things to grow at their own pace.
