The Goat Moon Wanes

Here we are, the last leg of Summer - any last words? Consider this phase "Project Hail Mary," Yang's last ditch effort. This is the time to get inside! It's no longer about being wise, now it's about being human. Whodini was right, "The Freaks Come Out at Night," so curb those cravings or find yourself in the company of all the other hungry ghosts that roam around after dusk.

As for the poetry of the moment, watch yourself. Go home and go to bed. Don't listen to Dylan Thomas. No one in their right mind should be out there raging into the dying light. Why not just go home and enjoy all the fireworks from your porch? It's mostly ghosts out running about chasing cravings - so if you're up late seeking thrills, don't be surprised when you find them.
To make this make sense, get a grip on yourself. It's less about restriction and more about reservation. Winter's coming soon and we're going to want all our wits intact. Enjoy wholesome, homely activities that can nourish and sustain rather than expensive, exotic adventures than diminish and drain.

✧ Take It Easy ✧

Start Earlier: Get those worms!
Finish Earlier:
Utilize your head start.
Eat Earlier: Give yourself time to digest.
Retire Earlier: Go home and go to bed.
Wake Earlier: Then do it all again.

The Daoist Outlook・101
Full Wood Goat Moon    Here we are, full Wood Goat mode. Think of it as a baby Goat, fresh out of the womb. They're cute, cuddly, and clumsy - but when you pit it up against a wild Fire Horse, tensions might get tight. That poor Wood Goat kid is going to have a hard time keeping pace with that blazing bronco... and that manic Fire Horse mare is going to hate having to slow down for that baby ...
The Daoist Outlook・100
The Goat Moon Rises    This feeling is tricky - the pressure to rise against the wisdom to descend. It's currently the time for wrapping things up and closing things out, and yet the New Goat Moon is growing and the late Summer days are still hot. Don't be fooled, friends - dawn is distinct from dusk - we need to be finishing.    As for the poetry of the moment, wrap it up folks. Use whateve...
The Daoist Outlook・099
Yin Wood Goat Moon    Is it a Sheep, a Lamb, a Goat, or a Ram? It might even pass as a miniature bull cow! Whatever you call it, it's the last moon of Summer, and it brings a flavor of closure to the conversation. This species is known to eat anything, and they'd scale a rigid cliff for nothing more than a lick of salt. It'd be wise to use this nimble chi for a safe descent into the cooler mo...
