Mid Autumn Festival

In the Chinese Lunar calendar, the two biggest celebrations align with the start of Spring for the New Year and the peak of Fall for mid Autumn. It's as if our ancestors preferred these short-lived phases of harmony, ease, and stability over the peaks, pits, and extremes of Summer and Winter.

As for the poetry of the moment, enjoy this fleeting feeling of equanimity. In the Spring, we get the sensation of rising to the occasion, but in Autumn, it's more like sinking into your favorite sofa, or slipping into your PJ's for the night. This is a great time for gratitude - you know, the warm fuzzy kind.
To make this make sense, look at boring as a blessing. If your day to day doings are ordinary and dull, then see yourself as fortunate and privileged. Try to find the divine within that which is otherwise flat, drab, and bland. If we can simplify our sights, God just might come into view.

✧ The Mid Autumn Moon Party ✧
Clean Up: Don't wait for Spring to clean.
Host Family: Neighbors, friends, and familiars.
Eat and Drink: There is so much to be grateful for.

Rabbit Moon Wanes    And just like that, the second moon drifts away. If you have ever heard the expression "Time Flys," well, now you get to live it. Here we are, only having just begun the year, and we're already at the end of Spring! This raging Fire Horse has really ramped up from a trot to a gallop, and there are no signs of slowing. So hang tight - we've still got a lot of Yang in stock...

Full Metal Rabbit Moon    Rabbits are known to be busy bodies. They're typically sweet, bubbly, and bright with an especially strong sensitive side. Those floppy ears and tender paws lend to keen connectivity and heightened intuition. That sixth sense of theres is all the more heightened amongst mystical Metal types. To that end, this would be a good time to get spiritual - how ever that look...
The Daoist Outlook・083
Waxing Metal Rabbit    We all know of the classic adage depicting the epic race between the old tortoise and the spry young hare - well, we're living it now. If you're aligned with the mainstream-machine-mind-clock-calendar-construct, then you're likely under the impression that Spring has only just begun - but that would be the rabbit in this instance. The real winner of the race is our turt...
