Yin Metal Rabbit Moon

Shifu will often joke about the Yin Metal Rabbit relating to O.J. Simpson. If you think about it, it kind of makes sense - at least from a Chinese Astrology perspective. Look at a zodiac wheel and you'll find the Rabbit precariously tucked between two beasts of prey - Dragons above and Tigers below - just like O.J. being chased in his white Bronco by police cars AND helicopters.😅

As for the poetry of the moment, be careful. Everyone knows that rabbits can multiply like crazy - but have you ever considered why? Well, if you're familiar with the literary classic "Watership Down," then you might also be aware of how dangerous life can be for a bunny. Sure, your old Rabbit's foot might still be considered lucky, but the rest of its body... not so much.
To make this make sense, mind your hide. When everything is sprouting up, new and fresh, you can't blame life for an accidental nudge or two - you just have to watch your step and keep your head up. We're in prime time for manic mood-swings and spontaneous breakdowns, so try not to take things personal and be sure you're solving more problems than you're causing.

Metal Tiger Moon Wanes    It's the tail end of the Tiger moon, and quite frankly, Tigers don't have the best batting average - they miss far more than they hit. Fortunately, the hits are often big enough to split the difference, but just like a Tiger's stripes, its life is rather "off and on"/"feast or famine." It can be quite the rollercoaster.    As for the poetry of the moment, hone in. Y...
The Daoist Outlook・080
Full Metal Tiger Moon    Tigers are on top of the food chain. Once they eat their fill, they could nap for days on end and not have a single care in the world. The only thing that can get a tiger moving again is it's own hunger, otherwise, you've got a big, lazy cat on your hands. As fun as this sounds, it's actually quite fragile. Just think, a tiger has zero defense because it never needs t...

Red Lantern Festival    So, apparently some random little boy accidentally killed the pet swan of a local folk diety one day, long, long ago. As a punishment, the enraged diety planned to kill the boy, his family, and his entire village. Moved to action, the beautiful Fairy Moon Goddess flew down from the heavens to warn the little village of their impending doom. She had them light the night...
