Lucky Rabbit's Feet

The waxing rabbit moon is a time of hyper sensitivity, and all the more so in a snake year. These two animals are considered the most mystical of the twelve, so the veil may wear thin while the two of them are together.
Have you been feeling it? There's a bit of tension in the air. It's almost as if there's some underlying threat looming in the dark. If your sixth senses are tingling, that's because yin is still the big force here. Yang has barely begun its rise. Juggling any uncertainties? This is the time to get educated, not the time to act. Perhaps it would be best to sit this moon out to let the fog clear before you make any big decisions.

Yin Earth Rabbits have big floppy ears. Use them to listen for the meaning behind the message. They also have soft, gummy paw pads on the bottoms of their long, fluffy feet. Use them to get a feel for the pulse of a persistent problem or behavior pattern. Learn to utilize all of your heightened senses to get a better perspective on situations before you start biting and kicking everyone around you. If you can navigate the pits of this moon cycle right, you'll have a long line of familiars wanting to hug and cuddle you. That's way better than running from hole to hole in fear for your life, right?

✧ Play it Safe ✧

Mind your Manners: Keep your side of the street clean.
Brush it Off: Don't take anything personally. Anything!
Smile More: Especially while you're being idle.
It's All a Big Show: Sit back and watch it like a sitcom.

Fire Pig Moon Wanes    Here we are at the curly-tail end of our Yin Fire Pig Moon. The solstice is nearly upon us and we're quickly encroaching upon the deepest pit of Yin for the year - but don't worry - it'll fly right by and should be over before it even begins. Once this phase comes to pass, Yang will be on the rise yet again... and so the world goes - as it always has/always will.    As...

A Full Fire Pig Moon    Last week we leaned in on the internal transformative power of a pig, but did you know that it has an external transformative capacity too? It's true! If you plucked a feral boar from the wild - tusks, hair, and all - and threw it in a pen, within 3-6 mo. it'd look no different from all the other porky pigs. In the same way, if you take an heirloom, blue ribbon pigle...

The Waxing Fire Pig    Did you know that pigs could live under an outhouse and thrive? They can literally eat nothing but food scraps and feces and still be perfectly content. The other animal that could do that is the goat; but if a goat eats garbage, it will taste like garbage - both the meat and the milk. Not a pig though. It has the ability to metabolize the mess and still be delicious....
