New Wood Pig Moon
What!? It's winter already!? Sure enough, each year the pig moon brings a little chill with it, officially kicking off the coldest corner of the calendar. Our zodiac hogs are notorious for their excessive comforts because pigs LOVE to be cozy. Everything's got to look good, smell good, taste good, and feel good too. It makes perfect sense. If you're going to endure a hard season, you might as well make your preparations as plush as possible.
Winter invites us to manage our environments - both inside and out. If our worlds are conveniently accesible and pleasantly arranged, it's far easier to endure the messy morass of winter. Let's be real, there's a subtle comfort to keeping a mindful order around yourself. It's hard to get good rest amidst a big mess. That said, this season, tidy up! Maybe keep an extra blanket by the sofa, throw an extra hoodie in the trunk of your car, and pack the pantry with your favorite teas and treats. A big heart packed neatly into little things can undoubtedly bring a bit of warmth to winter's dark and dreary days.
